Subvert anger by forgiveness.
Where there is forgiveness, There is God Himself.
Adi Granth, Shalok, Kabir, p.1372
If you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
Good to Forgive, Best to Forget.
Henceforth such is the Will of God: No man shall coerce another; No person shall exploit another. Each individual has the inalienable birthright to seek pursue happiness and self-fulfilment. Love and persuasion is the only law of social coherence.
Guru Granth Sahab
Allah doth command you to render back your trusts to those whom they are due; and when ye judge between man and man that ye judge with justice; verify how excellent is the teaching which He giveth you! for Allah is He who heareth and seeth all things.
As we all know, disregard for the natural inheritance of human beings has brought about the danger that now threatens the peace of the world as well as the chance to live of endangered species. Such destruction of the environment and the life depending upon it is a result of ignorance, greed and disregard for the richness of all living things. This disregard for the richness of all living things. This disregard is gaining great influence. If peace does not become a reality in the world and if the destruction of the environment continues as it does today there is no doubt that future generations will inherit a dead world.
H H The Dalai Lama
Were one to observe with an eye that discovereth the realities of all things, it would become clear that the greatest relationship that bindeth the world of being together lieth in the range of created things themselves, and that cooperation, mutual aid and reciprocity are essential characteristics in the unified body of the world of being, inasmuch as all created things are closely related together and each is influenced by the other or deriveth benefit therefrom either directly or indirectly.
Abdu’l Baha, The Bahai faith
If you can sense the one in all creation,
And see God in every brothers’ face without respect of creed, race or nation;
If you can feel at home in every place;
If you can love your country with devotion,
And yet all the countries too;
If you have freed yourself from class emotion,
And understand the other’s point of view;
If you can sense in every beast a brother,
And see God blossoming in every flower;
If by no thought or word you hurt another,
And fill with noble deeds the fleeting hour;
If all your thoughts, words and acts are holy,
And everything from higher motives done.
And all your work is based on service alone.
You’re very near to the Divine, my son.
– K. Browning
It is a well known fact that in India, the institution of marriage is sanctified as a religious sacrament and fortified by a number of social & political regulations. It is part and parcel of Vaidic Dharma.The reason why the sexual relationship between a man and a woman is considered sacred is that it is the basis and foundation not only of the family organisation and the preservation of orderly community life but also of the purity of the race and the well-being of the progeny.
Marriage, therefore, is not a concession to human weakness, but a necessary means of spiritual growth. The proper choice of the bride “the Gotra” the ancestry and the family of the bride and the mental, moral & physical characteristics of the bride and her relations were all very serious considerations because Indian ancient rishis and law-givers were convinced that marriage was not a relation between a male and a female designed to legalise desire but a relation between parents and children designed to preserve and strengthen the race.
If it had been a personal instead of a racial matter, it would have been made the first concern of human customs and laws. It is the most fundamental of all social institutions, the one which guards and replenishes the stream of human life.
There are ten good things for which no man has ever been wrong:
- For doing good to all.
- For speaking ill of no one.
- For hearing before judging.
- For thinking before speaking.
- For holding an angry tongue.
- For being kind to the distressed.
- For asking pardon to all wrongs.
- For stopping the ear to the tale-bearer.
- For being patient to everybody.
- For disbelieving most of the evil reports.
Some words heal
And some words hurt
Some cause sorrow
And some cause mirth
Some words lash
Bringing grief and tears
Some words soothe
Some words kill
And some give life
Some jab as hard
As a steel-tipped knife
Some bring hope
To a sinking heart
some cause husband
and wife to part
Harsh words come
From a thoughtless mind
Sweet words belong
to a heart that’s kind
So you are not to open
your mouth in haste
Think well each word
Speak well in taste
There is a light that never dims
There is a beauty that never fades
There is a drink that immortalises
There is a silence which is ever eloquent
There is a friend who is ever eternal
There is a peace which ever comforts
There is a bliss that never decays
There is a life eternal, which is ever joyful.

You have to leave everything behind and move ahead. All your experiences, your relations – everything – is part of the past. Leave the whole world of your memories behind – including me. Drop everything, I am there behind you. Move on Stop looking for more and be free!
– Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Walk upright, with calm, dignity, and joy, as though you were an emperor. Place your foot on earth the way an emperor places his seal on a royal decree. A decree can bring happiness or misery. Your steps are peaceful, the world will have peace. If you can make one peaceful step, then peace is possible.
– Thich Nhat Hanh
Moments of glory are not achieved by staying in our comfort zone. Moments of glory occur when we step outside ourselves and fear shakes hands with freedom.
– Kay Allenbaugh
When you discover your essential nature and know who you really are, in that knowing itself is the ability to fulfil any dream you have, because you are eternal possibility, the immeasurable potential of all that was, is and will be.
– Deepak Chopra
In the midst of uncertainty keep determination in your thoughts and it will become a guiding light in front of you. Those whose thoughts are filled with determintation will find everything to be possible.
It is the characteristic excellence of the strong man that he can bring momentous issues to the fore and make a decision about them. The weak are always forced to decide between alternatives they have not chosen themselves.
